∞ or ♾: which one to copy
There are two common infinity characters. ∞ is INFINITY (U+221E), a plain text symbol that looks the same on every phone and takes one character. ♾ is PERMANENT PAPER SIGN (U+267E); with an emoji selector it becomes the colour infinity emoji ♾️, which looks different on Android and iPhone. For game names and bios, ∞ is the safer choice. Look-alikes such as ꝏ (Latin small letter oo, U+A74F) and ⧜ (incomplete infinity, U+29DC) give a different look. More symbol families are on FFSymbol.
| Symbol | Unicode name | Code | Use |

How to type ∞ on a keyboard
- Windows: hold Alt and type 236 on the number pad (in Word you can also type 221E and press Alt+X).

- Android and iPhone: open the symbols page of your keyboard, or copy ∞ from this page.

Using ∞ in a nickname
Each ∞ counts as one character, so ∞Riya∞ is 6 of the 12 characters Free Fire allows. Frames like ꧁∞ and ∞꧂ add two more. The tool above builds the name for you and turns red past 12. Free Fire has blocked the Hangul filler ㅤ (U+3164) since the OB43 update, and the game is now on OB55 (released 16 September 2026). Names marked FF-safe swap it for the no-break space U+00A0, which still works.
Where the infinity sign comes from
The English mathematician John Wallis introduced ∞ as a symbol for infinity in 1655, in his work on conic sections. It has meant “endless” in maths ever since, which is why it is used for forever-style names today. We drew every symbol on this page with Google’s Noto fonts in Chrome on 30 September 2026: all non-emoji symbols showed a real glyph. Colour emoji depend on your phone’s emoji set.

Questions
Is ∞ a symbol?
Yes. ∞ is a standard Unicode character, INFINITY (U+221E), in the Mathematical Operators block, so it pastes as normal text anywhere.
What is this ♾?
♾ is the PERMANENT PAPER SIGN (U+267E). Phones often show it as the infinity emoji ♾️, used for “forever” or “unlimited”.
